Pauline SwansonGeneseo, IL                                                                                                Angelsite@Geneseo.net

Pauline Swanson is a life-long resident of Geneseo and a 40-year member of Geneseo Art League, as well as being a homemaker, wife, mother (8 times), grandmother (15) and great grandmother (6/another due soon).

Excluding early childbearing/rearing years and those when Pauline worked as a District Manager's secretary in the Quad Cities for 10+ years, she has been very active in Art League, serving 2 terms as president and several as secretary; for a number of years, it has been her function to chair or co-chair Art League's Christmas Forest and the annual Maple City Show.

Pauline's primary medium is oil; however, she has produced a few watercolors as well as trying her hand at sculpting.  Very early (around the age of 4 or 5), Pauline began to explore art by drawing and was - by circumstances - confined to that medium for all the years until high school art classes.  There are few subjects that she does not find fascinating, but her "favorite" is people; she is especially fond of children even though they are the most difficult to capture.

Though there never seems to be enough time to paint nearly as much as she would like, Pauline is committed to producing as much artwork as she can possibly fit into a busy schedule; painting is a "necessity" for her.....something she 'needs' to do.

Pauline has accepted commissions, especially for portraiture; and has - just often enough to keep her motivated - sold her artwork, as well as gifting it, particularly to family members who admired a certain painting.

Commissions and/or sales can be arranged by contacting the artist at her email:  angelsite@geneseo.net

Karen Vromankarent@vromanfineart.comAdded Touch Gallery         8549 Spring Hill Rd. Erie, IL          (309)659-2851

Karen grew up on a farm in Prophetstown, IL.  She majored in art at Illinois State University.  Her minor was geography, causing a passion for landforms, rocks and minerals to continue showing up in her art today.  Another of her favorite subjects is flowers.  Since graduating Karen has studied under a number of college professors and many members of the American Watercolor Society.  Every year since 1964 Karen has taught art workshops for various organizations in Iowa and Illinois.  Teaching has kept her art more versatile and has aided her own growth.  While teaching she has met some wonderful artists who have touched her life as much as she touched theirs.

Karen has had paintings accepted in many national watercolor exhibits.  In 1988 after her 3rd acceptance into a Transparent Watercolor Society of America annual exhibit she was elected as a signature member of that prestigious organization.  Local and national collectors own her work as well as clients in
Australia, Germany and Japan.

A home studio on 2 acres in rural
Erie, Illinois is where Karen resides with her husband Robert.
